Cave Suite in Santorini 2016
The space that needed to be reformed was located at Oia Santorini, in Greece.
The main need was to design a comfortable ambient enviroment suitable for vacations.
Cement wood and stone were the main materials used, in order to serve this purpose.
Light shapes, shadows and transparency gave warmth and strength to the space.
The room has been conceived as an open plan living space with one cave bedroom and bathroom.
The finishes chosen such as concrete wood and stone provide a delicate minimal enviroment while a chair with rope and dark metal details provides a spot of texture. An old stone partition wall gives a sense of privacy and theatrical scene.
Traditional windows preserve the uniformity of the settlement while provide abundant daylight and breathtaking views of the island.
A dining area is placed at the front part of the apartment while the lines of the concrete sitting area embrace the occupant.
At the outdoor space of the suite, a cave jacuzzi facing the breathtaking view of the island welcomes the
visitor .
